LIM DT: Masculine

What makes a card masculine? It’s a perennial problem for card makers, and I’m no exception. So when the theme came up at Less is More this week, I wasn’t overly impressed! I found a set of clear stamps of tags that I bought several years ago and have barely used, and came up with this card:

masculine card with top hat on a tag

This card really couldn’t be much simpler! Stamp the tag onto water-colour paper and colour with distress ink. I used reinker with a water brush to get the depth of colour I wanted. Tie in place on a matting layer of card with some twine and stamp a sentiment. Glue to the card blank. That’s all there is to it.

Used for this masculine card

  • C6 card blank
  • Lilli of the Valley clear stamp set 51: Monsieur
  • Ranger / Tim Holtz Distress Reinker: Old Paper
  • Ranger archival ink: Jet Black
  • Sentiment from Craftwork Cards clear stamp set (discontinued)
