This week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is ‘no patterned papers’. I’m not one to dress many of my cards up with patterned papers, so this wasn’t too much of a stretch. It also gave me the chance to give my new Gorjuss rubber stamp ‘Puddles of Love’ its first outing.

A pirate’s life for me!
After a four week break, my ProMarkers are out again. This week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is ‘a pirate’s life for me!’ While searching for a suitable piratey greeting (I didn’t find one), I discovered that there is an international ‘talk like a pirate’ day each year on 14th September. Shiver me timbers!
Gingham Tablecloth Card
This week’s theme at my favourite ProMarker challenge site, Passion for ProMarkers, is ‘gingham’ [Week 108]. I decided to make my own gingham paper, and it sort of developed from there. It was particularly timely to have available the free gift stamps from Quick Cards this month, the ‘Time for Tea’ stamp collection by Beth Gunnell. I replicated their colour scheme as my head’s a bit fuzzy at the moment, but the card design is all mine.
Tie A Yellow Ribbon
I’m cutting it fine with this week’s submission to Passion for Promarkers challenge [Week #107, ‘tie a yellow ribbon’]. From selecting colours, finding the cardstock, drawing the bow freehand, shading and blending to cutting out, mounting, photographing, uploading and blogging in less than 45 minutes. And all because I don’t have any yellow ribbon in my stash! Managed to submit it with two minutes to go… and I’m not a morning person either!
Babies?!
Those of you who know me well know that I don’t do babies… So when it came to sitting down to do this week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers [Week 106, ‘babies’], procrastination set in! However, I overcame my phobia reluctance and put pen ProMarker to paper cardstock.
Letraset Ultrafine Tip for ProMarker – review
Hi all 🙂
I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on a few of the new ultrafine tips for ProMakers (thank you Michelle at Letraset), and here’s my review!
Park Life
This week over at Passion for Promarkers, the theme is ‘park life’ [Week #105]. It’s currently the hottest day this year here in sunny Leicester, so my view of park life must be wishful thinking for cooler days? It’s perhaps not quite the summery image that many would be conjuring up, but I remember the fun of sledging in the park and the stamped image was perfect.
Here Comes The Bride
This week’s theme at Passion for Promarkers is ‘here comes the bride’ [Week #104]. I dusted off a set of Woodware clear stamps [Wedding Bliss FRCL036], inked up and coloured away. The centre window is punched out of my normal cardstock with a Martha Stewart ‘all over the page’ scalloped edge square punch. Border round the window was drawn freehand. Peel offs are from my stash.
Pink/Brown – Flower Power
I’m not sure what the rules are on multiple entries to the Passion for Promarkers challenges, but I’m submitting this one too! This is the second of my winnings from Some Odd Girl, Flower Kaylee. I found the combination of pink and brown a little tricky, but hopefully it’s come off.
Blue/Brown – Singing in the Rain
Week #103 over at Passion for Promarkers: ‘blue/brown’ or ‘pink/brown’ colour theme. This is obviously an entry for the former category. The image is from my winnings for the anniversary challenge, Puddle Hopping Tia from Some Odd Girl. The background and raindrops are my own additions to make the card. I just couldn’t quite come up with the right sentiment!
