It’s been a real struggle not to share these projects over the weeks that I have had the Couture Creations 3-in-1 Dreamboat sets – co-ordinating dies, embossing folder and clear stamps in one package. The sets were destined for TV appearance and there’s been a blog embargo until this week’s blog hop – but here are another five projects showcasing these fabulous sets! For full making details, continue reading.
AS SEEN ON CREATE & CRAFT TV over weekend 16th-18th November 2013.
You will need:
Couture Creations Dreamboat: Pattern Quilt 3-in-1 set
A4 sheet Foundations Milk cardstock
A4 sheet Foundations Dark Roast Coffee cardstock
Ranger Liquid Pearls: Ocean Blue
Ranger Archival Ink: Potting Soil
Cosmic Shimmer Specialist Acrylic Glue
- Cut Foundations Milk card stock to 7″x10″ and score a line at 5″ to make 7×5″ card. Keep offcuts. Cut Foundations Dark Roast Coffee to 6⅞x4⅞” and keep offcuts.
- Place right hand side of Milk card into the embossing folder and emboss using the correct plates for your embossing machine.
- Ink the circles stamp with Potting Soil Archival Ink and print into the bottom section. Dry briefly with heat tool. Then using a sharp knife cut out the diamond segments as shown. Run a fine embossing tool around the circle outlining the cut section and then push a pencil through the hole from the rear to push the ‘petals’ outward.
- Die cut one of the large flowers from the Milk card stock offcut, and two smaller ones. Ink up the corresponding flower stamps, line up with the die cut and print. Shape the cut petals using an embossing tool.
- Mount on the top section using foam pads.
- Stick the Dark Coffee Roast card piece on the rear of the front of the card using the Cosmic Shimmer glue.
- Print your choice of sentiment in archival ink on to more of the Milk offcut and mount onto a piece of Dark Coffee Roast using the Cosmic Shimmer Glue. Mount onto the card using foam pads.
- Cut two pieces of Dark Coffee Roast card stock to 3″x½”, and curve around a round object, e.g. a pen until the ends meet – glue together. Cut two pieces of Milk card to 1½x¼” and cut a notch in one end of each. Glue down onto the loops and then glue each bow half to the card.
- Finally, add dots of Ocean Blue Liquid Pearls to the card as shown and leave to dry.

Foundations A4 Card: Milk, Dark Roast Coffee, Teal
- Emboss a piece of Dark Roast Coffee card in the ornate frame embossing folder and cut out leaving a small border.
- Rub Enchanted Gold gilding wax over the edges and Autumn Bronze over the centre area, blend together with your finger and then buff with a cloth or piece of kitchen paper.
- Ink the ornate frame clear stamp with Jet Black archival ink, line up over the gilded frame and print the image. You may need to use a heat tool to ensure the archival ink is dry over the gilding.
- Print the ornate frame stamp in Potting Soil archival ink onto Milk card and cut out.
- Mount on Teal card stock and then Dark Roast Coffee card using the Cosmic Shimmer acrylic glue.
- Mount the frame onto the mounted image using foam pads.
- Next, die cut each of the butterflies from Milk card. Ink up each of the butterfly stamps with clear Perfect Medium and print onto the die cuts, embossing with Blue Watercress Blaze embossing powder.

- Mount the butterflies on the card using Cosmic Shimmer glue and foam pads.
- Finally emboss the ‘Celebrate’ sentiment on a piece of Milk card, mount on Dark Roast Coffee card and then onto the card with foam pads.
PARTY TIME SET
You will need:
Couture Creations Dreamboat: Party Time 3-in-1 set
Cosmic Shimmer Flake & Glitter Glue
Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk Glitter: Sahara Gold
Cosmic Shimmer Specialist Acrylic Glue
Foundations Card: Coconut White, Dark Roast Coffee
Ranger Distress Markers: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick
Ranger Archival Ink pads: Jet Black, Potted Soil
- Emboss a 7×5″ piece of Coconut White card using the embossing folder.
- Cut strips of Dark Roast Coffee card for the border, mitre the corners and stick down to the embossed card with foam pads.
- Print the cake stand onto Coconut White card using Jet Black archival ink and die cut – this forms a template for layering individual cupcakes.
- Print the cake stand twice more in Potted Soil archival ink and die cut – this will form the layers for the table.
- Print various cupcakes onto Coconut White card using Jet Black archival ink and die cut.
- Colour the cupcakes as follows: for the bases use Aged Mahogany Distress Marker, allow to dry and then add another layer to the left hand side. For the tops, colour over in Spun Sugar and shade with Victorian Velvet and Worn Lipstick before blending with Spun Sugar pen.
- Layer the cupcakes on the black and white template using foam pads, increasing the depth of pads as you get lower.
- Add the first table layer on foam pads, and then overlay with the second on another set of foam pads. Adhere to the card with Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue.
- Adhere the remaining cupcakes to the embossed card using foam pads.
- For the stars, use a piece of foam to apply Cosmic Shimmer Flake & Glitter glue to the star stamp, and print onto Dark Roast Coffee card – don’t press down too hard as this squeezes the glue out and the glitter won’t stick. The glue will stay sticky on the card for quite a while – clean your stamp immediately.
- Cover the sticky star prints with Sahara Gold Polished Silk Glitter and rub over with your finger to burnish. Brush off excess and cut out each star before adhering them to the card with Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue.
- Finally, print the sentiment onto Coconut White card using Potted Soil archival ink and mount onto Dark Roast Coffee card before adhering to the main card using foam pads.
You will need:
Couture Creations Dreamboat: Butterfly Notes 3-in-1 set

Foundations Card: Coconut White/Dark Roast Coffee/Teal/Milk
Ranger Archival Ink: Potted Soil

- Lightly mist the butterfly with Cosmic Shimmer Vintage Tarnished Gold and allow to dry before bending up the wings and fixing to the card with Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue.
- Mount the flower parts using foam pads to layer up and give 3D decoupage look.
- Die cut three small butterflies from Milk card and stamp the small butterfly stamp over using Potted Soil archival ink.

Couture Creations Dreamboat: Floral Wreath 3-in-1 set
Cosmic Shimmer Dark Bronze PVA
Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue
Foundations Card: Milk/Dark Roast Coffee/Teal

- Die cut two large tulip designs in Milk card, print and mount onto the card under the sentiment using Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue.
- Print the centre design onto Teal card with Potted Soil archival ink and stick down to the card with Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue.
- Die cut four large tulips from Dark Roast Coffee card and print with Jet Black archival ink. Curve them over a round handle and then mount onto the teal flower using foam pads.
- Die cut four small tulips from Milk card and print with Potted Soil archival ink. Curve around a handle again to shape and then mount onto the flower using Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue at the base of each ‘petal’.
- Finally embellish both flowers with Cosmic Shimmer Dark Bronze PVA. You may need to add a second dot to the main flower once the first layer has dried (it may wick under the petals).
