Time for another clean and simple card challenge at AAA Cards. This week we have a sketch to work to (see below). This is a guide to a card layout rather than drawing your own. The optional extra is to make the theme suitable for a baby. Here’s my card as part of the design team’s inspirations:
Here’s the sketch:
You can use any shape or colour, but it must be the same shape and in a line, as shown. The sentiment can be placed just about anywhere but needs to be right justified as shown.
I used a bear silhouette outline to send to my laser cutter to cut from different coloured card stock from my scraps. I also cut the sentiment. It was then a matter of carefully adding glue and lining up and spacing out the elements onto the card blank. It lacked a certain something, so I used alcohol markers to add the shading under each of the bears.
Also used for this baby card
- Winsor & Newton/Letraset ProMarkers: Cool Grey 2-4
- 6×6″ card blank
Fabulous take and make for our Sketch challenge
