AAA Cards DT: Moodboard ± Christmas

The last challenge of the year at AAA Cards is to create a clean and simple card based on a moodboard with the optional extra of making it Christmasy. There are plenty of elements to choose from on the moodboard – you can pick colours, themes, shapes and textures. I went with a quick card based on the picture of the baubles. Have a great Christmas and I’ll catch up with you in the New Year with new challenge inspiration.

Used for this Christmasy card

  • Silver glitter card (manufacturer unknown)
  • Letraset / Winsor & Newton ProMarkers: Slate / Mulberry / Maroon
  • Woodware peel off for sentiment
  • Molotow Liquid Chrome pen (1mm)
  • Black C6 card blank – clean and simple cards require lots of white space around the design, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t use other colours of card!

The shading on the baubles is made by dotting colour using the alcohol markers in progressive layers. Care must be taken not to lift previous layers as the glitter is non-porous and the ink colour sits on the surface just waiting to be re-wetted…

  1. I love how the black backing makes your baubles pop off the card. I also love they are purple and that your card is fantastically CAS
