LIM DT: Use a stencil

Challenge number 476 over at Less is More this week is to use a recipe or technique – this time it is to use a stencil…

graffiti over stencil brick wall

I’ve created my brick wall by using three colours of distress ink blended through a stencil. I used a graffiti font to design my sentiment, printing it out, cutting on my Silhouette and then colouring with airbrushed ProMarkers for that authentic effect. I overdid the paint runs with the airbrush, but it turned out ok in the end.

Used for this stencilled card

  • That’s Crafty stencil: Brick repeat [TC7022]
  • Ranger / Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Fired Brick/Rusty Hinge/Vintage Photo
  • Letraset / Winsor & Newton ProMarkers: Magenta / Cool Grey 5
  • Letraset marker adaptor for airbrushing
  • Posca white pen (PC-1M)
  • Sakura Pigma Micron black pigment pen (08)
  • 6×6″ card blank
