Craft Label has released their Christmas goodies, and one part of the bumper crop is the Dovecraft Premium ‘Winter Wonderland’ collection. There’s premium paper pads, decoupage pad, clear stamps, embellishments, washi tape, ribbons and gift tags in a blue and silver colour scheme. I’ve used some of the elements to put together this 12×12″ scrapbook layout:

Start by prepping your photo in a suitable photo editing program to give it a blue colour cast. I also added some depth of field to defocus the background. Print out and crop and mount onto white card. I used blue embroidery thread to tie one of the star charms from the coordinating embellishment packs to the photo.

Taking the falling bokeh effect page from the 12×12″ Winter Wonderland pack, add the stripes and edge with silver peel-off strips. Add another mat with the Happy Christmas embellishment (which is pre-glittered), outlined again in silver peel-off lines. Add the photo.

Cut out stars from the foiled sheet in the paper pad and add them to the layout, along with strips of coordinating washi tape and ribbon. I used a tape runner along the ribbon to stick it down, double-sided tape would work too. Be careful with glue as it can soak through the ribbon and show up on the facing surface.

Add your text – I cut mine using an electronic cutter (Silhouette Cameo). You may choose to add handwritten text further describing your photo.

Finally, add some of the sparkling glitter enamel dots and colour them with a blue Nova dual-tip designer marker (alcohol ink).
