LIM DT: Sparkle

Ok, so this latest challenge from Less is More is going to cause all sorts of consternation as it is notoriously difficult to photograph glittery things. I’ve tried multiple light sources, but still haven’t managed to avoid shadows or overexposure. So, it’s left up to you to imagine the sparkle in these two cards!

For the first, I used 3mm wide ultra tacky double-sided tape to run lines across the card before rubbing in DecoArt Glamour Dust crystal glitter. I wonder if I might have had more sparkle if I hadn’t rubbed the glitter flat, but I was worried that I would have glitter falling off (there’s nothing worse) if I didn’t pat it down. Add a sentiment (this one is my own design) stamped in Jet Black archival ink.

For the second, I used a shed-free glitter card in silver and punched out the circles. I then cut out the paper circles on my electronic cutting machine (Silhouette Cameo), with the writing also completed on the machine with a sketch pen. Finally, I stamped the snowflake in Watering Can archival ink before gluing everything down onto kraft cardstock.
