Next month’s art journal session (spaces are available) puts to use the small clear mini stamps that are available on the front of Craft Stamper magazine. Over the months I have collected a fair number of them, and the challenge is to use them in an art journal spread.
For this example, I used three stamps over a spritzed Distress Stain background. I would have loved to have used the Distress Oxide Sprays, but I haven’t been able to get the budget together to buy them yet. The stamping was done in archival inks of various colours to complement the background, especially the hearts. This was so that I could use more distress stains to colour/faux bleach with water without the stamped images feathering.
Background colours included Tumbled Glass, Milled Lavender, Squeezed Lemonade, Abandoned Coral. Roses were Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Victorian Velvet. Archival ink colours were Jet Black, Forget-me-not, Vermillion, Bright Tangelo, Monarch Orange, Sunflower and Paradise Teal.
