Two Tone-On-Tone Cards

I’m quite organised… and I have a pile of stamps that I have mentally labelled ‘I will not put these away until I have used them at least once’. Each show I go to, or order I place online, sees the pile grow by at least one stamp per time – and it doesn’t seem to reduce in size. Today, I decided to do something about it, and created these two tone-on-tone cards featuring Stampendous Cling Stamps ‘Cherish Heart’ and ‘Wild Roses’, with the tag from the Lily of the Valley ‘Set 51 Tags Monsieur’.

I stamped each image using Antique Linen Distress Ink onto white card before blending over with more of the same ink. The roses were all watercoloured using the distress ink as well, dabbed on a non-stick craft sheet and picked up with a waterbrush. Shading was achieved by layering over previous layers once they were dry. I added a little Vintage Photo round the outer edge before matting onto dark brown card. The little tag on the roses was stamped in Tree Branch Archival Ink onto a manilla tag, cut out and shaded with Antique Linen Distress Ink before being tied on with ribbon – also coloured with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The paper flowers were coloured with… oh you get the picture, and dots of Dark Chocolate Liquid Pearls added to finish.
