Unique Giveaway #3

Well I’ve finally done it, and created my third unique giveaway. This one is in honour of 50,000 blog views, and I’ve just passed 55,000! It is a one of a kind, never to be reproduced, ceramic mug and fancy saucer with my own tangle patterns hand drawn onto it. It is dishwasher safe, and the mug is a perfect size for a double espresso (but not a decent mug of tea!). I’ve signed and dated both pieces – you never know, they might be worth something in a few years time 😉

All you have to do to have a chance to win this unique giveaway is to leave a comment anywhere on my blog between now and midnight on Friday 10th February. I’ll draw the winner on Saturday 11th February. Best of luck 🙂

Please note: I don’t like spam, and I wouldn’t want any of you to be getting loads of emails you don’t want. So, please, don’t put your email address into the main text of your comment where everyone will be able to see it! (Unless that’s what you want…) If you have signed in properly, I can see your email address in the private admin area of the blog. If you’ve already added your email to a comment, you’ll note I have edited them away.

    • Hi there 🙂
It’s done with porcelain pen onto ceramic… baking at 160 degrees is all it will take to set it nice and solid for the dishwasher. Thanks for your entry into the giveaway draw!
      Neil

  1. Very nice work! Thanks for another chance to win artwork! Now I need to look up porcelain pens! This would be a fun project to try at home too.

      • I’ve been practicing. I have yet to do any tangles on ceramics. Got to get good enough to make my hand and my mind more steady. I follow all of your art all of the time and have even experimented trying to learn the patterns you are kind enough to share with all of us. Thanks! Keep up your beautiful, talented art work always.

  2. I saw another blogger post about this contest and had to stop by. I love this set! Your work is beautiful. Congrats on reaching the 50,000 milestone.

  3. I enjoy and appreciate your tangle patterns. I have used a few in some of my Zentangles. Thanks for having the giveaway and congrats on your popular blog.

  4. Your work is so excellent, I am certain it will be worth something, starting immediately, with the pleasure of using it, and then in the more conventional sense. It would be a real honour to win this giveaway and have the chance to drink even tiny cups of tea in your cup and saucer. Thanks for your beautiful work and wonderful blog full of tangle ideas.

  5. Hi Neil
Keep up the excellent work. I love getting your emails, they’re very inspirational. Please put me in for the giveaway draw. BTW where do you get your porcelain blanks from? I’d love to have a go myself.
    Cheers

  6. Hi Neil!
I found my way to your blog through looking for tangle patterns, and had seen some of yours already, which I loved, on Flickr. It is a happy bonus that in arriving here I get to enter the competition for your beautiful ceramic works – what a good idea to tangle on china! – and thanks so much for the chance to win. Thanks too for the generosity in sharing your patterns.

Exciting to see that you are using an enforced change of career to follow creative dreams. I just joined an online group related to Danny Gregory’s Everyday Matters, and in welcoming me, someone said, “The creative process is a best quality mind nutrient,” – taking time for drawing etc, can only help it all! So, hope that thought helps you too.
    Keep up the great work.
    Jane 🙂

  7. Neil: Zentangles has opened a new world for me and now so have you. Somehow I didn’t think about working on porcelain. I did think of glass though. Thanks for the opportunity to enter for your fabulous giveaway!

  9. Oh, Neil Neil Neil. This is truly a generous give-away. It is one that I want very much. Happily entered.

Not to appear greedy, but are you entertaining multiple entries?

I have always particularly enjoyed your patterns- firstly, it is cool that a guy does this; and secondly, they always please my eye for mathmatical, geometric, and even fractal-like styles. I appreciate your creativity, drawing from such places as the alphabet- following the ideas of finding patterns within the things we see everyday and presenting them in new, fascinating, and aesthetically pleasing ways. Please keep it up
    two thumbs up
