I finished off my ‘patchwork’ themed card last night, ready to enter the Passion for Promarkers challenge this week. I so enjoyed working with the pattern from last week (remember the Letraset competition?) that I used it again, completing it in greys and blues this time.
The theme coincides with my first forays into patchwork – I’ll post pictures of my first attempts at a jelly roll sampler quilt in due course. It did make setting up the scene for the card photo a lot easier, and the sewing machine is still out.
Pens used:
Powder Blue/China Blue/Midnight Blue
Cool Grey 1, 3, 5
White Soufflé Pen for highlights (Sakura)
The patchwork pieces are all card stock/ProMarker – I’d originally intended to colour fabric with my ProMarkers, but didn’t quite get round to it. I drew the patterns in strips down the short side of my card stock before cutting them into 1.5 inch squares and sewing them down to another sheet of card. The whole lot is mounted onto a piece of Bazzill card stock (Blackbird) – as it is an outsize card, the back does not go all the way across but it stands up well just the same. And for those that like close up views of the shading:
FAbulous make – beautiful colours and a stunning design! Thanks for joining in our challenge at PFP this week, Juliexx

Wow, that’s really stunning!
Beautiful ! I love geometrical patterns and you have created a very lovely piece. Was it completely hand drawn or was the computer used in some way ?
I’ve become your follower and booked marked your page on my blog !
