In readiness for my next Wow! Embossing Powders project, I’ve added a new section to my blog to hold a library of templates that I have used over the years. The first to appear are a self-closing box and base that I designed to be made from a sheet of A4 in acetate, though it would work well enough in card too. Please have a peek, using the link on the toolbar under the blog title, and let me know if I need to add any assembly instructions!
Well I’ve finally done it, and created my third unique giveaway. This one is in honour of 50,000 blog views, and I’ve just passed 55,000! It is a one of a kind, never to be reproduced, ceramic mug and fancy saucer with my own tangle patterns hand drawn onto it. It is dishwasher safe, and the mug is a perfect size for a double espresso (but not a decent mug of tea!). I’ve signed and dated both pieces – you never know, they might be worth something in a few years time 😉

This is another of my Wow! Embossing Powder projects – still following the Valentine’s Day theme. The challenge set was to come up with a card for men – something meaningful without being too frilly or slushy! Full instructions on how to make it are on the Wow! Since I joined the design team for Wow! Embossing Powders, I’ve had the chance to play with all their powders, embossing glitters and stamps. February’s tag reflects this, featuring several of the coloured and glittery embossing powders, with the background stamp being their ‘Brocade’. Instructions for making this tag can be found at the Manic Stamper blog.
I’ve had chance to do a few more squares of my free motion machine quilting sampler quilt. See my first post for more details.

I’ve had a bit of a play with my Wow! Embossing Powders whilst waiting on my official design projects to get posted… Here’s what I did today:
As normal, it’s quite tricky to photograph metallic/glossy finishes, but I think you can get the gist. I used a 10x10cm canvas board and layered up Brass, Rich Gold and Ebony powders before adding foliage layers using stamps. A nice prototype to work with 🙂
As promised, more info on the Wow! Embossing Powder blog to which I am a contributor as part of the design team. At the moment it’s just an introduction to all of the design team, but I know there are projects galore waiting in the wings 🙂
