Dressform Templates, £5
First shown on Create & Craft TV for Craftwork Cards, my paper crafted dress has been very popular, and I’ve created templates so that you can make your own too. The templates are for the skirt, bodice and the stand. There are also outline instructions included in the don’t-bend envelope. The torso is no longer available. You’ll need some 5mm thick foam core board for the stand. Includes postage and packing for UK only – please email me if you are ordering outside of the UK. Review of template here.
Arabian-style Lantern [PDF] – added 24-FEB-13
A lot of careful cutting out required for this one, but at the end of it, you get a fabulous lantern design, in 3D, ready to be decorated. Requires two sheets of A4 thin card. Suitable for battery powered candle/light only. How-to tutorial and examples are here.
Pumpkin Card [PDF] – posted 03-SEP-12
A quick template for making a three dimensional pumpkin card, designed to fit in a C5 envelope. Mount on an A6 card. With a little adaptation, you could also cut out the face and have a battery powered candle behind (NB battery powered!). A how-to tutorial is here.
Daffodils Stencil [PDF] – posted 26-MAR-12
Three daffodil views designed to be printed onto acetate and then cut out the back areas to leave a stencil. By using the stencil to apply colour embossing powders and using these as a resist, you can create a stained glass effect by making the borders black. I’ve featured them in my Twelve Tags for 2012 for March, with full instructions available at the Manic Stamper Craft Club blog. Alternatively, use a monochrome laser printer to print them out and then apply fusible foil over the top.
Easter Basket [PDF] – posted 26-FEB-12
A cracking square-based basket with handle and decorative flowers ideal for Easter. Cut round the solid outline, decorate and stick down the tabs. Attach the handle and flowers and fill with your favourite mini eggs. Finished example here and instructions here.
A4 Self-closing box [PDF] – updated 04-FEB-12
Designed to be used for gift box or display, can be made from either card or acetate. The ‘hooks’ latch round each other to form a swirl top and bottom. A base can be cut from thick card and stuck inside on the closed bottom of the box to stabilise. Instructions on how to construct the box are here.
A4 Self-closing box base [PDF] Template for the pentagon base required for the self-closing box above. Actually, there’s seven bases on the template… but you get the gist.
How fun! The packaging becomes a little work of art! Thank you.
I’ll be posting a project next Saturday using this 🙂
I guess I’m not so clever. I don’t have a clue how to put this together.
I’ll sort out some instructions 🙂
