Another Art Nouveau inspired tangle pattern. It helps to turn the page round to do the ‘top’ layer. Keep your corners curved and your arches asymmetrical.

Wellenstil – tangle pattern
I’ve been inspired by Art Nouveau patterns this week. The arches frame the tangle pattern ‘Grass’ nicely.
Zentangle mini-canvases
Thought I’d share my mini-canvas zentangle inspired art pieces. The canvas and easel are packaged by Reeves and I got them for £1 each from The Range (also available in other online stores). Decodomes – tangle pattern
This one was inspired by pictures of the Chrysler Building in New York. I think shading is mandatory to get it to work and not look too busy. Keep your domes tall and their sides straight for best results. I wasn’t careful with my zigzag lines if you were wondering…
Decomonds – tangle pattern
Mirrors, door frames, brickwork – art deco had a lot of these motifs! Good for a repeating pattern, or could be used to make a deco border.
Decostar – tangle pattern
This one is reminiscent of UK police force badges… Makes a great centrepiece for a tangle. I found drawing the rays from the centre helped with the spacing.
Decobricks – tangle pattern
Inspired by an art deco brick wall, this pattern zings with a touch of shading. The original wall was of blue brick with the brick cluster deepset into the brickwork.
Atura – tangle pattern
This is another original design – may be similar ones out there – let me know if there is another the same…
Aztec – tangle pattern
An original design which reminded me of the Aztec square pyramid temples. Lots of opportunity to enhance the 3D aspect with shading 🙂
Circo – tangle pattern
Another original design – squares, circles and diamonds somehow combine into this repeating pattern.
