Very exciting news – WOW! Embossing Powders have new stamp designs available. Here’s a quick card showing some of them, with a minimalist design suitable for beginners.

I’ve found a challenge blog that suits my natural card making style – ‘Less is More’, a clean and simple challenge blog. There’s so much less of the layers and lace and embellishments and frippery – just a clean simple card. So I thought I’d enter a card into their neutrals theme challenge this week. And then I realised I hadn’t done a ProMarker card for a while, so thought I’d enter the same card into ‘Passion for Promarkers’ challenge this week on their Mother’s Day theme.
Recycling is all the rage these days – apparently making something you’re about to throw away into something useful and beautiful is now known as upcycling. Here’s how to upcycle a glossy magazine page into a pretty greetings card using Brasso, embossing powder and a bit of elbow grease.

This is another of my Wow! Embossing Powder projects – still following the Valentine’s Day theme. Since I joined the design team for Wow! Embossing Powders, I’ve had the chance to play with all their powders, embossing glitters and stamps. February’s tag reflects this, featuring several of the coloured and glittery embossing powders, with the background stamp being their ‘Brocade’. I’ve been inspired by Tim Holtz’s Twelve Tags of Christmas, and decided I’d give some creative thought towards my own ‘Twelve Tags for 2012’. This has the added bonus of giving me some projects for this year at The Manic Stamper Craft Club! The muse developed to a design, and the design has developed into a prototype and that then developed into my final version of the tag for January. Please let me know what you think 🙂
I’m chuffed with the snowdrops, since I didn’t have any inspiration other than a photo of a real one – and it all starts as a daisy! If you want to know how to do your own, the instructions are over at the Manic Stamper blog.
I’ve not posted much ProMarker stuff recently, so thought I’d pop this pic up: it’s using the Art Impressions landscape stamps which I would routinely colour with Marvy water based pens. I thought I’d try it with ProMarkers this time, and was really pleased with the results.
