Please scroll down to see a list of workshops I run at my home studio in Leicester (LE3 2EJ). The studio was purpose-built in 2013 and is situated just 2 miles from M1 Junction 21 or a short taxi ride from Leicester bus or train stations.

Each workshop will have a maximum group size of eight and will include refreshments. Any items that you will need to bring with you will be listed in the workshop description, everything else will be provided. Photos are illustrative of the workshop and may not be exactly what you’ll end up with (unless otherwise stated).

For all workshops, full payment is required in advance. Email me and I will send you a PayPal money request. Alternatively, you can arrange to call into the Studio and pay by card or cash. Terms and conditions are below the workshop list. If there are no places left for a session, please email if you would like to be put on a waiting list.

Card and contactless payment facilities are now available at The Studio if you would like to pay for goods or future sessions or workshops.

REGULAR WEEKDAY SESSIONS

Come & Craft/Stashbuster Clinics
7:30pm – 10pm, Tuesday evenings, £5
An informal session of crafting [cards, scrapping, knitting/crochet, jewellery, quilting, painting etc.] in the studio. Bring along your own project, or some stash you don’t know what to do with/equipment you’ve forgotten how to use, and I’ll help you find something you can do with it. Includes refreshments and use of studio equipment/some materials. You’re also invited to peruse my craft library/magazines while you’re here.

Art Journaling Session
7:30pm – 10pm, first Monday of the month, £5
An informal session of art journaling in the studio. Bring along your own journals to work in and your favourite kit. There’ll be inspiration, starter questions, technique tips, and a chance to learn from others in the group. Includes refreshments and use of studio equipment/most materials. You’re also invited to peruse my craft library/magazines while you’re here, including Stampington Art Journal magazines. Novice and experienced art journalers are welcome.

Bible Journaling Session
7:30pm – 10pm, second Monday of the month, £5
A fun session geared around encouraging participants to journal in their Bibles. We’ll look at materials suitable, and not so suitable, for working on thin paper, as well as lots of ideas, prompts and techniques for decorating your margins. Materials and refreshments will be provided, please bring your own Bible to journal in.

Stitch & Quilt Session
1:30pm – 4pm, Wednesday afternoons, £5
An informal session of textile-based crafting, including knitting, crochet, stitching and quilting. Bring your unfinished objects, quilts, cross-stitch or mixed media projects to complete in a friendly and welcoming group. You’ll have the chance to exchange tips and ideas as well as use reference books and magazines for inspiration. There will usually be an overlocker available for use – you will need to bring your sewing machine or sewing kit though. Mixed media materials can be made available for an extra cost. Includes refreshments and use of the studio. All levels of experience are welcome, especially beginner quilters or crocheters.
(Maximum group size: 4, minimum age: 10)

Please note: this is not a teaching session, and though some guidance is offered, you are expected to bring and work on your project independently. It is a shared session and more formal tuition may be added for a reduced fee to take this into account (normally £25 an hour). Contact me to discuss your requirements and we’ll work something out.

OPEN STUDIO 

Open Studio
Days vary, 1:30pm – 4pm, £5 per session

A drop-in session, where you are invited to work in the studio on your own projects. Materials and equipment will be available for you to use, but I can’t always guarantee one-to-one attention if I am busy with other projects. You’ll often get to see me at work on projects and may get sneak previews of new products. You’ll also be able to use my craft library and collection of magazines.
