I’m demonstrating all sorts of things heat embossing on 22nd October (see About Me page), and finished off my demo board this morning:
And here’s a close up of the faux dichroic glass piece for those that like shiny things 😉

It’s Passion for Promarkers challenge entry time again, and this week the theme is ‘beary special’. A friend mentioned this afternoon that it’s less than 100 days to Christmas. And crafters have to start early… Here are my entries to the challenge.
I finished off my ‘patchwork’ themed card last night, ready to enter the Passion for Promarkers challenge this week. I so enjoyed working with the pattern from last week (remember the Letraset competition?) that I used it again, completing it in greys and blues this time.
Well with college starting with a ‘what did you do during the summer’ assignment, it was great to revisit another childhood memory and do some ‘colouring in’ for my ProMarker project this week. Letraset are running a colouring challenge (#3) offering a pattern from their partner website Patterns for Colouring. This week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is the highly flexible ‘anything goes’. So here’s my entry to both challenges 🙂
There’s just a week to go before I finally start my extended diploma in art and design course at Leicester College, and I must admit looking forward to it. We were set a summer assignment to create an A5 size postcard, with the front being a collage describing ourselves, and the reverse carrying the college address and a description of what we’d been doing over the summer.
I started work on it last week, and yesterday I finished my submission:
This week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is ‘no patterned papers’. I’m not one to dress many of my cards up with patterned papers, so this wasn’t too much of a stretch. It also gave me the chance to give my new Gorjuss rubber stamp ‘Puddles of Love’ its first outing.
After a four week break, my ProMarkers are out again. This week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is ‘a pirate’s life for me!’ While searching for a suitable piratey greeting (I didn’t find one), I discovered that there is an international ‘talk like a pirate’ day each year on 14th September. Shiver me timbers!
This week’s theme at my favourite ProMarker challenge site, Passion for ProMarkers, is ‘gingham’ [Week 108]. I decided to make my own gingham paper, and it sort of developed from there. It was particularly timely to have available the free gift stamps from Quick Cards this month, the ‘Time for Tea’ stamp collection by Beth Gunnell. I replicated their colour scheme as my head’s a bit fuzzy at the moment, but the card design is all mine.
Those of you who know me well know that I don’t do babies… So when it came to sitting down to do this week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers [Week 106, ‘babies’], procrastination set in! However, I overcame my phobia reluctance and put pen ProMarker to paper cardstock.
This week over at Passion for Promarkers, the theme is ‘park life’ [Week #105]. It’s currently the hottest day this year here in sunny Leicester, so my view of park life must be wishful thinking for cooler days? It’s perhaps not quite the summery image that many would be conjuring up, but I remember the fun of sledging in the park and the stamped image was perfect.
