I got a bit confused by this week’s 2nd anniversary theme at Passion for Promarkers “all the 2’s”. Back when I was a doctor, all the twos meant the extension number to call for a cardiac arrest or other on ward emergency alert to go out. And here in Leicester, dialling all the two’s will get you through to the local police! However, reading the rules set me right, and here’s my entry 🙂
Pens used:
Two yellows: Pastel Yellow/Mustard
Two blues: Pastel Blue/Powder Blue
Two greys: Ice Grey 1 & 3
Others: Apricot/Lavender/Sandstone/Pastel Green/Pastel Pink
For the technically oriented ProMarker aficionados out there, you’ll notice all the pen colour codes (printed under the name on the label) end in 8 or 9 – I took this lightness code from the named pastels and widened my palette to all the other colours that ended in the same number, thus keeping the same tone to the whole image.
Other things in twos: it took me two hours to make, two different blue matting papers, two of each colour of button, two tone outline pens (black and white), two sided to the card (the back and the front), two sided sticky tape, two sided foam pads, two elephants, two dolphins, two zebra, two giraffe, two doves and two lions. Two rainclouds. I think there were far more than that on the day, but I guess the sun was coming out at this point to make the rainbow 😉
The image is a paid-for digistamp from the D.A.I.S.I.E. Company – comes as part of a four-design download.
