Hi all – I’ve been busy creating… and so pleased with the result, I’m going to share it with you even before the glue has finished drying! Here’s the piece:

This is a 24x24in canvas designed to be used for the WOW! Embossing Powder stands at shows, hence it carrying their blog tagline ‘where colours come to life!’ Each of the drips is hand drawn with Versamark pen or painted with Versamark reinker and then heat embossed with one of the fabulous range of WOW! powders. The butterflies are punched from card covered both sides with embossing glitter, or a layer of primary tones topped with a layer of clear sparkle embossing glitter if no ready-mixed colour was available. I then folded the wings up, and glued them in place with matt multi-medium. The text is in Lucida Handwriting font and printed before being transferred onto the canvas with the good old pencil-on-the-back method, which I then coloured in with a black permanent marker. Hopefully you’ll get to see it in glittering splendour at Hobbycrafts, NEC 22nd-25th March. And I’ll be on the Wow! EP stand on Sunday 25th March as well!
