For this release of Bible journaling illustrations, I have used a theme of redemption and salvation to select my verses. Five new templates from both the Old and New Testaments assure us of God’s love through the ages, now, and into the future. And, for the first time, I have illustrated perhaps the most central and one of the most well-known verses: John 3:16.

Behind the scenes
As I am never entirely sure, or plan, how I will be colouring my samples, I tend to get everything out in front of me that I may wish to use. I did determine to use watercolour this month as I haven’t done for some time. It was useful to test them in the new art Bible. The pages stood up to the wet fairly well, with expected buckling that responded well to a press with a hot iron.
