After a short hiatus over Christmas and New Year, it’s great that the Less is More challenge is back! This time, it being our 11th birthday, the theme is, well, ‘birthdays’. Make a clean and simple card (lots of white space and minimal elements) and enter the challenge 🙂
I masked and stamped the background image with distress oxide ink, before remasking the two border strips and using the inkpad direct to the card to create the borders. I then stamped the sentiment over the top a couple of times with archival ink. Dots of liquid pearls finished the card. It happens to be a one layer card, though this wasn’t called for in the challenge this time around.
Used for this card
- Stampendous Cling Stamp (6×6″): Blossom Scroll [6CR003]
- Ranger / Tim Holtz Distress Oxide: Shaded Lilac
- Stix2 Anything Low Tack Stencil Tape
- Darkroom Door Rubber Stamps: Brushed Sentiments [DDRS161]
- Ranger Archival Ink: Majestic Violet
- Ranger Liquid Pearls: White Opal
- Tonic Studios / Tim Holtz Stamp Platform
- C6 card blank
I love that background, Neil, and purple always makes me happy. Great card for celebration. It’s nice to be back. Hope all is well with you.
