We’re still celebrating 10 years of Less is More Challenges with loads of prizes up for grabs. All you need to do is make a clean and simple card or project featuring ‘flowers’ on just one layer – few or no embellishments, large areas of white space but no adding any layers (e.g. whole card die cuts) to the card. Fuller instructions are here. Enter it into the challenge and you’ll be in with a chance. Here’s my take on the theme:
Used in this card
- Rubber Tapestry Rubber Stamp Set: Yummy’s Garden SFL-34063 ( from 2008!)
- VersaMagic Chalk Ink:
- Hint of Pesto / Eggplant / Aloe Vera / Mango Madness / Perfect Plumeria / Pretty Petunia
- Sentiment from discontinued Craftwork Cards clear stamp set
I also fished out another very old rubber stamp from my stash to make a second card – obviously, I didn’t like it as much as it didn’t get put forward as my DT card! I chose to colour it as echinacea cone flowers rather than daisies.
Used for this card
- Inca Stamp: Daisy Squares [ln8298-g]
- ProMarkers:
- Sky: Arctic Blue / Sky Blue
- Petals: Carmine / Magenta / Cocktail Pink
- Flower centres: Terracotta / Walnut
- Shadows: FlexMarkers Blue Grey 2 & 3
- Stems: Bright Green
- Memento Ink Pad: Tuxedo Black
- Signo Broad white gel pen
Two fabulous cards, the detail on the first card is amazing
Both wonderful cards, Neil. Wonderful CAS designs. Love the color palette on the first and all the detail. Love the detail of the white dots on the second.
Gorgeous floral arrangement, so much detail on such a small image, really makes an impact,!
I love both of these cards Neil. I love the compact, central image on the first one and the outlined sentiment. The second one made me do a double-take – that simple touch of grey around those blocks really gives the illusion of a layer and is very effective. I’m going to have to give that a try!
