As promised in my previous DT post, here’s a project I made using another of Craft Label’s First Edition paper pad designs, Winter Sparkle. This comes in 12×12″ and 6×6″ pads along with an 8×8″ decoupage pad. There is also a plethora of coordinating embellishments. I used both the 6×6″ pad and one of the decoupage designs to make this shadow box:
The box is 4x4x4″ and is bottomless to give access to the battery-powered LED lights. I used all three decoupage design copies to decorate the side panels and the layered elements from one to add depth to the front face. The rose gold foiled stars are stuck halfway down the box depth and are a perfect background to the glittered deer elements. It’s probably not necessary to decorate the sides if you wanted to keep the decoupage designs for other projects, but I wanted to glam them up.
Available from Craft Label, the pads have a lovely apricot/peach and grey colour palette with rose gold foiling and glitter on some of the sheets. There are three copies of eight decoupage designs, each with three or four layered elements and some extra embellishments. The paper weight is perfect for holding the construction together and takes scoring well.
I do love a shadow box Neil and this one is beautiful whether the lights are lit or not! I love the colour palette of those papers. Vicky 🙂
… Oh and thanks for letting me know that Sainsburys has put its corporate foot down and stopped selling fireworks. Good for them and I hope other supermarkets will follow suit! Vicky 🙂
