We’re about to redecorate our lounge in shades of grey-blue, so I was commissioned to create another altered art canvas similar to this one, but with a matching blue as the main colour. It’s taken a day to do and has laser-cut, 3D printed, buttons, wood and polyurethane-cast elements as well as a few embellishments from my collection.
Lots of gesso and some spray acrylic white paint helped stop the soot from the laser-cut pieces from staining the white paint. Grey kindly provided by DecoArt Media fluid acrylic in Medium Grey Value 6. The blue is a mix of Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans Distress Paints with a few drops of Picket Fence. Metallic silver effect embossing and Liquid Chrome pen work gave highlights and a spritz of Brushed Pewter mica spray and Faded Jeans Distress Stain added a bit of lowlight. Canvas size 30×20″.
I quite like the white and grey mid-project pic… suitable for any decor.
Further commissions welcome.
