You’ll have seen my first mini-canvas a couple of weeks ago… During this week I have been working on a 12×12″ version of my chuck it all on altered art piece. Here’s ‘Dream’:

This was my first ‘finish’ point. I was happy with the textures and shading, but there was something not quite right. I walked away and posted a pic on Facebook for comments…

This is the next finish point – my sister and I reached the same conclusion at the same time… where was the focal point? I cut out ‘dream’ in several sizes, gave it a coat of gold embossing powder and added it.

And this is the final finish point. I’ve added some gold wax highlights and some gold embellishments to bring the canvas elements together. I also added a few paper roses to fill in some of the more unembellished corners.
