Here’s another Wow! Embossing Powders design team project

 These quirky love birds are based on papier mache birds from Creativ Company. The colouring is based on the Wow! Embossing Powder January Challenge palette. I started by covering the birds in a layer of white gesso, drying them, and then adding a layer of Adirondack Shell Pink acrylic dabber paint (Ranger). Using a combination of Versamark ink pad and pen, I added Wow! Embossing Powders:
Body: Clear Sparkle Embossing Glitter
Wings: Candy Floss Embossing Glitter
Head and neck: Princess Pink Embossing Glitter
Beak: Amber Rose Embossing Glitter
Heart: Apple Red/Red Glitz Embossing Glitter/Clear Gloss
Eye: Bright White

I traced round the shapes with a fine black marker pen for a bit of definition. The heart is made from foam board and stands up with the aid of a smidge of Bluetac. I’d recommend giving the foam board a coating of red acrylic – I discovered that the molten embossing powder slips a bit on the bare board.
