Well with college starting with a ‘what did you do during the summer’ assignment, it was great to revisit another childhood memory and do some ‘colouring in’ for my ProMarker project this week. Letraset are running a colouring challenge (#3) offering a pattern from their partner website Patterns for Colouring. This week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers is the highly flexible ‘anything goes’. So here’s my entry to both challenges
Pens used:
Lavender/Orchid/Plum
Canary/Sunflower/Gold
Cool Grey 1
I resized the image to fit two to a sheet of A4 card stock and printed it out. I then coloured the images, outlining the centre section on the lower layer only (so that it looks complete from under the top layer. I then layered the second section on top, medallion card style. Keeping a tight colour theme seems to make this pattern zing. I’d also have done it in cool blues and greys if I had left enough time. This close up shows the colouring method and the layering of the two sections:
Hi Neil, wow your cards are always so striking. Brilliant job with the “medallion” style and I love the colour choice you made. Thanks for joining us at PFP this week for our anything goes challenge. Hugs, Denise x
This is awesome! At first glance, it looked like a quilt square. The shading is so dimensional. Love it!
