25,000 blog views – and unique giveaway #2

Ok, so I’m guessing it will be at some point while I’m asleep tonight, but I couldn’t wait a moment longer before sharing my celebratory prize with you! In recognition of a fantastic 25,000 views in less than six months, I have created my largest zentangle-inspired artwork (ZIA) to date. And it’s a giveaway!

Entitled ’71’, this A3-sized pen and pencil ZIA contains all seventy one tangle patterns I’ve published on this blog. This unique prize can be yours!

To have a chance of winning this one-of-a-kind prize, all you need to do is to create your own ZIA incorporating only patterns from my blog and share it with me by posting a link to your blog entry (preferred) or emailing a scan/photo of your creation via the link at the top of the sidebar (if you don’t have a blog). I don’t mind how many of my patterns you use, nor what size of ZIA you create. I hope to be able to create a gallery on my blog of all the entries to this challenge, celebrating your artistic exuberance. And to be fair to all-comers, I’ll select the winner by random draw of all entries. Entries close at 23:59 GMT on Saturday 10th September.

And thank you all for your interest, encouragement and for following my blog for the last five months 🙂

  1. Yay!! Congrats on such an achievement!! I can’t wait to get started on my ZIA ~ I’ve already done a few but not with just your tangles.

    • That’s how… I don’t see a couple of these on your blog or Flickr gallery! Or, rather, one on this ZIA and one in another ZIA in your gallery. Which pattern is the top left second square? Then on your piece in your Flickr gallery, you have a tile done with French inspired patterns and one I think you said was ‘French Tile’ is another I can’t find. Thanks!

  2. Congratulations on a magnificent achievement in only 6 months, WOW.
And another fantastic giveaway. Thank you for being so generouse

  3. Love your arrangement on your mega tangle. I dont think I can do this comp. cos Im still making a concertina book like you did for patterns. See you got me going on that. Guess I didnt win it, so I have to make my owen. I do like the holiday journal you m ade on another post. having trouble keeping up with all your ideas. Im very vulnerable to inspiration so I dont want to get any more for a while so I can finish the ones youve already given me!

  4. Just found your blog, and I am not only inspired but in awe. I am currently creating a travel journal, so I look forward to your ideas and suggestions. Thanks for the eye candy!

  5. I don’t understand why I didn’t get this post as I follow your blog on my reader. Anyway your sampler is wonderful. Thanks for the chance to win.

  6. are we allowed to submit more than one?
wasn’t sure if I would have to wait and try and figure out which is “best” :o)

    • Sorry Suzanne – somehow I missed this comment until now. Feel free to enter as many ZIAs as you like. It will be a draw from all entries, so don’t be worrying about ‘best’, just keep to the rules 🙂

  7. Phew. Got mine done! Thanks for this challenge, Neil. It’s ended up being one of my favorite pieces. 🙂

    Here’s the link.

You’re welcome to post any of the pictures on my blog entry for your contest. 🙂

(Now to hope my internet gets fixed Thursday like it’s supposed to be….)

    • Wow! Stunning ZIA, and I can see why it’s a favourite! As with other entries, I’ve added it to my Reader Submission gallery so others can appreciate it 🙂

[It’s also worth clicking on Tammi’s name in her comment to see her blog entry for the piece.]

  8. Thank you for all the interest, and the eight entries that I had received by midnight GMT last night. They are all posted in the Reader Submissions gallery for you to peruse.
